Gelati and Motsameta Monasteries

This morning we took a short drive into the countryside to visit the Gelati and Motsameta Monasteries.

The Gelati Monastery compound includes three churches. The main church was finished in 1130 and the additional two churches were added in the 13th and 14th centuries.
